Apprenticeship Management Software

The Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) and ApprenticeshipNH's mission is to build high-quality Pre-Apprenticeship to Registered Apprenticeship pathways across the state. By partnering with ApprentiScope, CCSNH gained access to their Regulatory Platform, ensuring they have a solid data management system behind them as they scale.

Scaling Apprenticeship Pathways

In June, we sat down with Anne Banks, Apprenticeship Program Manager at the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), who shared how their organization has worked over the last six years to grow Pre-Apprenticeship to Registered Apprenticeship pathways in New Hampshire.

Started by a team of 3 (and a half) in 2017, the Community College System of New Hampshire functions as an Intermediary, working with employers in several industries to build high-quality Registered Apprenticeship programs for their most in-demand roles. Starting in the program development phase, Banks's team works with new employers to remove barriers to entry associated with developing & running an Apprenticeship in the state. These barriers include developing their Standards of Apprenticeship in line with business objectives, registering their programs, and assisting with ongoing recruitment & administrative activities.

CCSNH's model has resonated with employers in New Hampshire. They've worked with companies like Dartmouth Health, BAE Systems, and New Hampshire Mutual Bank Corp. to launch high-quality Registered Apprenticeship programs, allowing them to forge bespoke talent pipelines for their hardest-to-fill positions. So far, CCSNH has helped businesses create 94 new Registered Apprenticeship programs employing over 700 apprentices.

“Our goal over the next couple of years is to create self-sustaining Pre-Apprenticeship to Registered Apprenticeship pathways that are well known throughout the state. We want Apprenticeship to be a household name in New Hampshire.”

- Anne Banks, Apprenticeship Program Manager

How it Works

Depending on the program, apprentices can expect to be enrolled anywhere from 1 to 4 years. During that time, they'll receive Related Technical Instruction (RTI) from one of CCSNHs seven college locations and On-the-Job Training from one of CCSNHs employer partners.

While employed, apprentices will be trained on a myriad of technical & behavioral skills tied to their occupation. Each apprentice will be matched with a mentor who will provide guidance and personalized training to ensure they thrive throughout the program. On top of that, CCSNH offers case management services for all of its participants through check-ins and support services, which can assist apprentices with aspects of the program beyond their employer's reach.

Upon completing their Registered Apprenticeship, apprentices will receive an Industry Recognized Credential for their occupation and a nationally recognized Certificate of Completion from the U.S. Department of Labor.

Partnering with ApprentiScope

Several years ago, the Community College System of New Hampshire contracted with ApprentiScope to address its growing need for data management solutions. They needed a system that would help them scale their services without compromising on data integrity. They chose ApprentiScope for its unique ability to streamline their most repetitive and time-consuming tasks, like Apprentice Onboarding, Partner Management, OJT & RTI Tracking, and Federal Grant compliance workflows, allowing them to dedicate more time to advancing their mission.

“ApprentiScope is a godsend for our team & our employers. Having an easy-to-use system for managing all of Apprenticeships moving parts has increased buy-in and energized them to keep going and bring on more apprentices.”

- Anne Banks, Apprenticeship Program Manager
