As Head of Marketing at ApprentiScope, Elizabeth Earin helps bridge the gap between workforce innovation and communication, empowering organizations to better share the value and impact of apprenticeship programs. With more than 20 years in marketing strategy and a personal connection to the skilled trades through her husband’s career as an electrician, she’s passionate about expanding access to career pathways beyond the traditional four-year degree.

Through New Apprenticeship a new cohort of apprentices will start their careers as a result of the training received in their pre-apprenticeship in partnership with Amazon Web Services. After completing an eight-week pre-employment boot camp led by NEW & AWS-certified instructors participants then received job offers from Infosys as Tech Process Associates where they will focus on providing cloud support to clients.

Apprentices will be training for Tech Process Associate roles where participants support Infosys by working in IT service management. Apprentices will also support employees in utilizing software/platforms to set up needed business operations like workflows, tracking, security, and more.

“I’ve always loved tech, but without a college degree, my options were limited. When I applied for New Apprenticeship, I never imagined I would have landed a job with Infosys within a few months. It has been a surreal experience so far and I’m excited about working hands-on with the client to put my new knowledge to use.”

Following their pre-apprenticeship program participants will now complete a 12-month Registered Apprenticeship program certified by the US Department of Labor. Apprentices will work full-time and gain valuable on-the-job training. Each participant will work with expert instructors and coaches in the evenings to attain industry-recognized certifications and develop leadership skills that help accelerate their career growth.

The program saw significant success in the previous year as over 100 apprentices were hired in 2021 and an additional 100+ are currently training for apprenticeship opportunities in 2022.

While this cohort will be the first for AWS Apprentices at Infosys, they will join over 150 other apprentices who started their careers as Infosys Tech Process Associates within the past year with this cohort having  81% of its apprentices come from underrepresented groups in tech.
